An Afternoon of Sledding

When this came to mind, I thought about all the sledding my sister and I did as kids. I remember us laughing and throwing snowballs at one another - so much so that we thought one of us might have an accident.

There's something to be said about taking an afternoon during the long winter days to just enjoy yourself. No thinking about how cold it is or how quickly you need to get back indoors. Just good old fashion fun in the snow!

Now that I'm older, I tend to think of this fun activity in a different way - a more adult kind of way.

I'm thinking cozy flannel blankets on the ground with a bunch of mugs and a thermos full of hot chocolate.

Now we all know that children have no fear and they tend to go as fast as their sleds will take them. But I can assure you that they'd love a mug filled with HOT cocoa.

Adults, well they can go either way. They either like to go as fast as they can, or they like to just kick back and relax.

Either way, they'd certainly enjoy a hot beverage and for them, maybe a few drops to make them dance.
