Beautiful Christmas Cottage Decor

A very happy Tuesday to you my Friends! I hope your having a wonderful week and hope these beautiful photos will add even more beauty to your day.

This is what I chose to talk about today. Despite loving French Country decor with all my heart - I've also come to love Cottage decor because it's so similar with all the whites and creams in faded fabrics and rusty tins.

Cottage style is something that you can very easy have in your home with very little effort as you'll see here.

As you can see, decorating with simple pine sprigs is all you need when decorating for Christmas.

Again, simple sprigs of pine tossed here and there, and look at this beautiful real tiny pine tree in a simple white bowl.

Having a few antiques hanging around is a delight to Cottage style decor and look at this super comfy looking tree skirt that you can easily make with a few large thick scarfs and simply stitch them together. And look at this black artwork that you can make with a thrift store frame. Simply paint the cardboard backing with chalk paint and draw your little artwork with chalk - easy pessy!

There's just so much white used with Cottage style decor, as well as natural baskets and old containers of forts. If your going to add color, then Red is it!

Black furniture is something that is very much loved with the Cottage style. If your interested in creating your own pieces, visit my . And look at what's been added to our beloved super comfy treat skirt room, white faux fur spritz of fabric on the coffee table and super comfy white throw blankets. And does this surprise you - the white Christmas houses with a ton of glitter. Something else that you can easily make.

A Sweet DIY for you...

How gorgeous is this? I'm going to show you how easily you can make this.

What we'll need:

  • Metal platters from Dollar Tree
  • White & Red Acrylic Paint - Hobby Lobby
  • Large Wood Letters - Hobby Lobby
  • Piece of sandpaper
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Wide ribbon for back of plates

Step 1. First paint your metal platters white.

Step 2. Lightly sand your wood letters - then paint red and allow to dry.

Step 3. Now glue your letters to the middle of your platters.

Step 4. Now undo a long length of your ribbon and place your platters on it, arranging them so you have a nice gap in between them. Once your happy, then hot glue them onto the ribbon.

Because these platters are super light, you can simply place a nail in the wall to hang the ribbon from.

Decorate your home with what inspires you. Whether if it's Cottage - Farmhouse or French Country - do what inspires you!

Always remember, there is no right or wrong way when it comes to decorating your home!
