Although we will be using these instructions for making these little darlings, we'll be using color palettes with our flannel like these.
This is flannel from Joann's
The first thing to do is finding a flannel shirt that you love, or purchasing 1/2 yards of flannel for this project.
These are going to be home decor for your home, so make sure the colors will work with your home.
Step 1. Cut a rectangle of flannel about 4″ x 8″, fold and hot glue the sides together to make tube.
Step 2. Make sure your “tube” is inside out (right sides together). Gather one open end of the tube tightly together and wrap it tightly with fine string.
Turn it right side out, this will be the top of your pumpkin.
Step 3. Fill it with fiber fill.
Step 4. Close up end with a dab of hot glue. This will be the bottom of your pumpkin.
Step 5. Attach a piece of a branch to the top.
Your going to love this project because it's so super easy!
Step 1. First decide on how many pendants you want, then measure and cut them out. 6″ along the top and 6″ straight down is a good size to make.
If you want to add letters to each pendant, base the size of each one on the size of the letters.
Glue your letters to each pendant.
Step 2. Unwind your jute for the length of the bunting you want, adding a foot for the ends to tye. Spread a bead of hot glue across the top of a pendant and lightly press your jute into the hot glue. Continue along until all your pendants have been secured to the jute.
Here's what your going to need to make these little darling pieces of decor for your beverages.
Step 1. Cut all your pieces of flannel to cover the wood coasters you've bought.
Step 2. Take them outside and spray them with your spray adhesive.
Step 3. Bring them back indoors and attach each piece of flannel to them. Using the back of your scissors, go over the surface really - really well to get a good contact.
Step 4. Now bring them back outdoors and spray each one with waterproof shoe spray. Now allow them to completely dry.
I hope you had as much fun today working on these projects for your home this fall. I'm not sure which is my favorite. What about you?
