Hello Friends! Today I want to share something that I definitely plan on making for myself this year. Something to keep me warm and cozy when I venture out. Something that's going to keep you nice and warm when you go out.
The month is carrying on like it always does with chilly weather and even more chilly weather as we approach November.
But despite the chilly weather being at our door steps, we're going to prepare ourselves to go out in it. Now these are not something that I've ever even thought about wearing, despite them being on store hooks this time of year.
However, me being me I looked into making my own. I've worked with creating different things from unwanted sweaters in the past and thought that the arms would make perfect Sweater Leggings. Low and behold, there's a ton of people who make their own and I want to share this with you today.
So here's how we're going to make some. First find an unwanted sweater either in your closet or at your friendly thrift store (is where I find mine).
A cable knit sweater makes for beautiful sweater leggings.
Step 2. Cut off the arms like shown below.
Don't worry if it starts unraveling a bit - we're going to take care of this.
Step 3. You can hem the raw edges but if you don't have a sewing machine you could always use fabric glue or hot glue to tuck it under and iron on high so it doesn't unravel. If you use glue I suggest washing on gentle and line drying it.
Go get yourself some sweaters to be sure you make enough pairs to get you through the chilly and cold days ahead!
