Thrifty Beautiful Thursday
This is unlike anything you'd think of finding at your local thrift store.
If you can't find one exactly like this, don't worry - I have your back!
When it comes to vintage - have you ever seen anything cuter?
I envision this sitting in your kitchen windows
Like I said, if you can't find an old salt or pepper shaker - than I'll show you how to make it look old - just follow along till the end.
I gathered up a few more supplies that I needed for this project.
I started by punching some hearts. These will become petals for some cute button flowers. If you have a flower shaped punch that would make this even easier, don't happen to have one.
Glue three hearts together like so...
Next glue a large button on top of your flower petals.
Take a length of wire (mine was about 8" long) and poke it through from the back.
Add another smaller button on top of the first.
Add another, even smaller button on top of that so you have three stacked buttons. Then loop the wire and poke it back down through the second set of holes.
It should look like this. You need one long end and one shorter end sticking out from the backside of your flower.
Next wrap the shorter end around the longer end and twist it tight.
It should look about like this now.
Next take the salt shaker and fill it about 1/2 way full of pearl beads.
Put the lid back on and poke the wire flower stems down into the beads through the holes on the lid and you have an adorable salt shaker button bouquet!
