This is one of my favorite pieces of decor
that I found in the basement last fall. This
winter I'm using it with some faux pine and
I created other small vignettes around my
home including this one that I made on an
antique cake stand.
Another beautiful vignette with faux
pine, yarn snowballs and a candle
in the middle.
In my kitchen I have a miniature 4'
tree with white lights that I absolutely
love. Real pine in our antique coca cola
crate on top of our hutch
I also made silver mercury glass
candle holders that are spectacular
this time of year.
I absolutely love the yarn balls that
I made. In this vignette I used a bit
of faux cotton snow with faux pine,
my adorable small pinecone Garland
and of course, my yarn snowballs.
I had decided back at Christmas time
that I wanted to illuminate my vignettes
and had an idea in mind to use round
glass votive holders. Wouldn't you know that
at my trip to Goodwill soon after this
thought, I found the perfect round tea light
holders that fit perfectly. Now I'm using full
size candle holders.
The yarn balls that I made are super simple using Styrofoam balls and white and silver yarn.
The faux pine I bought for a couple cents at an After Christmas sale.
The silver mercury glass candle holders I made using 50/50 vinegar and water - then silver spray paint.
